Co‐Delivery of Multiple Toll‐Like Receptor Agonists and Avian Influenza Hemagglutinin on Protein Nanoparticles Enhances Vaccine Immunogenicity and Efficacy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This research highlights a novel application of protein nanoparticles to effectively modulate the strength, breadth, and bias of an immune response against influenza virus. Nanoparticles precisely co‐delivering antigen (H5) and multiple adjuvants (CpG and FliCc) present a way to improve and direct prophylactic immune responses which can be applicable ...

Flight-Scope: microscopy with microfluidics in microgravity [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
With the European Space Agency (ESA) and NASA working to return humans to the moon and onwards to Mars, it has never been more important to study the impact of altered gravity conditions on biological organisms. These include astronauts but also useful micro-organisms they may bring with them to produce food, medicine, and other useful compounds by ...

Advancements in Understanding the Physicochemical Properties of Reticular Materials: An In Situ and Operando Spectroscopic Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review explores how in situ and operando spectroscopic techniques reveal the real‐time behavior of reticular materials, including MOFs and COFs. These methods track material formation and functionalization, structural changes, defect formation, dynamic responses to external triggers, and catalytic processes.

NASA’s astrophysics cross-observatory science support (ACROSS) initiative: enabling time-domain and multimessenger astrophysics

open access: yesFrontiers in Astronomy and Space Sciences
The Astro2020 Decadal Survey recommended an investment in Time-Domain and Multimessenger Astrophysics (TDAMM) as the top-priority sustaining activity in space for the coming decade. One aspect of NASA’s response to this recommendation is a pilot project,

Moisture‐Dependent Vibrational Dynamics and Phonon Transport in Nanocellulose Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Uptake of water in cellulose play an important role in modulating the structure and phonon transport. This study reports how moisture‐dependent structural modification relates to the vibrational dynamics and phonon transport and scattering of nanocellulose using inelastic neutron scattering and wide angle X‐ray scattering.
