Evolution of dynamical signature in the X-cube fracton topological order

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2022
As an unconventional realization of topological orders with an exotic interplay of topology and geometry, fracton (topological) orders feature subextensive topological ground-state degeneracy and subdimensional excitations that are movable only within a ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Higher d Eisenstein series and a duality-invariant distance measure

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
The Petersson inner product is a natural inner product on the space of modular invariant functions. We derive a formula, written as a convergent sum over elementary functions, for the inner product E s (G, B) of the real analytic Eisenstein series $${E}_{

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Holographic thermal correlators: a tale of Fuchsian ODEs and integration contours

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We analyze real-time thermal correlation functions of conserved currents in holographic field theories using the grSK geometry, which provides a contour prescription for their evaluation.

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Solving Decision-Making Problems Using a Measure for Information Values Connected to the Equilibrium Points (IVEP) MCDM Method and Zakeri–Konstantas Performance Correlation Coefficient

open access: yesInformation, 2022
In this paper, a new multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) method, called a measure for information values connected to the equilibrium points (IVEP) method, and a new statistical measure for measuring the similarities of performances of MCDM algorithm ...

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...
