Estimating Denitrification Rates in the East/Japan Sea Using Extended Optimum Multi-Parameter Analysis

open access: yesTerrestrial, Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, 2015
Denitrification rates in the East/Japan Sea (EJS) were examined with extended Optimum Multi-Parameter (eOMP) analysis. The potential denitrification locations expected from the eOMP analysis occurred only in the Ulleung Basin (UB) and near the Tatar ...

Space science & the space economy

open access: yesSpace Policy
Will it be possible in the future to realize large, complex space missions dedicated to basic science like HST, Chandra and JWST? Or will their cost be too great? Today's space scene is completely different from that of even five years ago, and certainly from that of the time when HST, Chandra and JWST were conceived and built.

Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy for Pediatric, Adolescent, and Young Adult Patients With Osteosarcoma: Local Control Outcomes With Dosimetric Analysis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Osteosarcoma is a radioresistant tumor that may benefit from stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for locoregional control in metastatic/recurrent disease. We report institutional practice patterns, outcomes, toxicity, and failures in osteosarcoma patients treated with SBRT.
