Duality, Vector Spaces and Absolutely Convex Modules

Applied Categorical Structures, 2006
An interpretation of absolutely convex modules subject to a separatedness condition as the numerical counterpart of vector spaces is given. It is shown that the full reflective embedding \({\mathcal V}ec \to {\mathcal{AC}}\) is at the same time coreflective, too.

Vector Spaces and Modules

1987
Let K be a field. A vector space V over the field K is an additive (abelian) group, together with a multiplication of elements of V by elements of K, i.e. an association $$ \left( {x,v} \right) \mapsto xv $$ of K × V into V, satisfying the following conditions: VS 1. If 1 is the unit element of K, then 1 υ = υ for all υ ∈ V. VS 2.

Discrete Space Vector Modulation Applied on a PMSM Motor

2006 12th International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference, 2006
The Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM) are extensively used in high-performance industrial applications. The electromagnetic torque in a PMSM is proportional to the angle between the stator and rotor flux linkages. Therefore, high dynamic response can be achieved by means of Direct Torque Control (DTC).

Space Vector Modulation for Multiphase Inverters Based on a Space Partitioning Algorithm

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2009
Since the late 1990s, multiphase drives have become a serious alternative to three-phase drives in some particular applications such as electric ship propulsion, locomotive traction, electric vehicles, and high-power industrial applications. Nowadays, the research activity is focused on the development of control strategies that can exploit the degrees

Modules and Vector Spaces

2014
Modules at last! In most books on a similar subject modules appear on the very first pages. And there are good reasons for this. Ring theory and module theory are symbiotic. Many questions about rings can be handled most effectively by using modules. Moreover, sometimes modules seem to be inevitable.

Discontinuous space vector modulation technique for motor supply

2011 IEEE EUROCON - International Conference on Computer as a Tool, 2011
The paper presents a simulation study of a space vector modulation inverter that supplies an alternating current motor drive with low switching losses. A new technique of the reduced number of switchings within the modulating interval is proposed. Simulation results are based on the theoretical explanation.

Space-Time and Space-Frequency Block Coded Vector OFDM Modulation

IEEE Communications Letters, 2017
Vector orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is a promising modulation scheme, which allows for a flexible configuration and connects OFDM and single-carrier frequency domain equalization in a unified framework. In this letter, we design Alamouti-like space-time block coded and space-frequency block coded vector OFDM systems. Based on these
