Duality, Vector Spaces and Absolutely Convex Modules

Applied Categorical Structures, 2006
An interpretation of absolutely convex modules subject to a separatedness condition as the numerical counterpart of vector spaces is given. It is shown that the full reflective embedding \({\mathcal V}ec \to {\mathcal{AC}}\) is at the same time coreflective, too.

Space-time vector delta-sigma modulation

2002 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems. Proceedings (Cat. No.02CH37353), 2003
Classical delta-sigma modulation gains resolution through temporal oversampling by using a high-speed, low-resolution quantizer and shaping the resulting quantization errors out of the signal band. Likewise, spatial delta-sigma modulation is often used in image halftoning to create high-visual-quality binary images.

ON MODULATED TOPOLOGICAL VECTOR SPACES AND APPLICATIONS

Bulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society, 2019
We introduce a notion of modulated topological vector spaces, that generalises, among others, Banach and modular function spaces. As applications, we prove some results which extend Kirk’s and Browder’s fixed point theorems. The theory of modulated topological vector spaces provides a very minimalist framework, where powerful fixed point theorems are ...

Vector Spaces and Modules

1987
Let K be a field. A vector space V over the field K is an additive (abelian) group, together with a multiplication of elements of V by elements of K, i.e. an association $$ \left( {x,v} \right) \mapsto xv $$ of K × V into V, satisfying the following conditions: VS 1. If 1 is the unit element of K, then 1 υ = υ for all υ ∈ V. VS 2.

CORDIC Implementation of Space Vector Modulation

2008 IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting, 2008
Space vector modulation (SVM) is commonly used in motor drives. In order to reduce the calculation time in SVM a coordinate rotation digital computer (CORDIC) algorithm is used to generate trigonometric functions. The algorithm is implemented using a microcontroller.

Predictive Torque Control Implementation for Induction Motors Based on Discrete Space Vector Modulation

IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print), 2018
This paper proposes a novel algorithm of predictive torque control (PTC) for induction motor based on discrete space vector modulation (DSVM). DSVM technique increases the number of voltage vectors, which must be evaluated in the PTC method.

Comparison of vector sigma-delta modulation and space-vector PWM

2000 26th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society. IECON 2000. 2000 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Electronics, Control and Instrumentation. 21st Century Technologies and Industrial Opportunities (Cat. No.00CH37141), 2002
The paper introduces certain modifications to the basic idea of vector sigma-delta modulation (VSDM), aimed to eliminate the polarity reversals in the line-line voltages, and to reduce the inverter switching losses. The performance of this modified VSDM is then compared with the space-vector PWM (SVPWM).

Vector-based reference location estimating for space vector modulation technique

Electric Power Systems Research, 2012
Abstract Space vector modulation (SVM) has become a popular pulse width modulation technique (PWM) for multilevel inverters. In SVM technique, the determination of the angular position of the reference voltage vector is very important to generate the required output voltage by the inverter.

Space vector modulator for forced commutated cycloconverters

Conference Record of the IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting, 2003
A pulse-width modulation (PWM) control technique for forced commutated cycloconverters is presented. The technique is based on the space vector representation of the voltages in the complex plane. It is shown that with the allowable switching combinations, six output voltage space vectors with varying amplitudes can be obtained, in addition to the zero

An Improved Finite-Set Model Predictive Control Based on Discrete Space Vector Modulation Methods for Grid-Connected Three-Level Voltage Source Inverter

IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics, 2018
This paper proposes an improved finite-set model predictive control (FS-MPC) to reduce current ripples and balance the neutral-point voltage for grid-connected three-level voltage source inverter. The proposed FS model predictive current control is based
