Hybrid Space Vector PWM Strategy for Three-Phase VIENNA Rectifiers

open access: yesSensors, 2022
Vienna rectifiers are widely used, but they have problems of zero-crossing current distortion and midpoint potential imbalance. In this paper, an improved hybrid modulation strategy is proposed.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

QPSK Block-Modulation Codes for Unequal Error Protection [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Unequal error protection (UEP) codes find applications in broadcast channels, as well as in other digital communication systems, where messages have different degrees of importance.

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Discontinuous PWM strategy considering neutral-point potential balance for a three-level NPC inverter

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2016
A novel discontinuous space-vector pulse width modulation(DSVPWM) strategy is proposed for a three-level neutralpoint-clamped(NPC) voltage source inverter.

A new modulation method for multilevel converters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This paper presents a simple method for modulation in multilevel converters, which is hardly affected with the number of levels. The method is based on a simple graph, whose x-axis is directly related to the extra degree of freedom associated with ...

Indirect 3D-Space Vector Modulation for Matrix Converter [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering, Technology & Applied Science Research, 2018
This paper discusses the indirect space vector modulation for four-leg matrix converter. Four-leg matrix converter has been proven to be a reliable, cost-effective, and compact power electronic interface to supply unbalanced or nonlinear loads. However, the added fourth leg has shifted the inverter side modulation from simple two-dimension SVM into ...

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve
