Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Birth Spacing, Fertility Selection and Child Survival: Analysis using a Correlated Hazard Model [PDF]

open access: yes
If fertility reflects the choice of households, results of their choice (duration between successive births and health of the children) cannot be considered to be randomly determined.

Metastasis on pause: How dormant tumor cells stay hidden within the tumor microenvironment and evade immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Effect of row spacing and speeding rate on Alfalfa (Hassawi) seed yield and two related traits

open access: yes, 1992
A field experiment was conducted at King Faisal University Research and Experimental Station, Al-Hassa during 1984 to 1987 to study the effect of row spacing and seeding rate on the seed yield of Hassawi alfalfa. The experiment included six row spacings:

Social change, migration and pregnancy intervals

open access: yes, 1987
Maternity histories from residents of a Pacific Island society, Tokelau, and migrants to New Zealand, are analysed using life table techniques. Inter-cohort differentials in patterns of family formation were found in the total Tokelau-origin population ...

Longitudinal genome‐wide aneuploidy measurements in circulating cell‐free DNA to predict lack of benefit from pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

Evaluation of technical defects of poplar farming in Mazandaran province [PDF]

open access: yesمجله جنگل ایران, 2019
The inadequate production of existing poplar cultivations can be due to unfavorable planting, maintenance and harvesting operations. In order to clarify the defects in the above operations, in the 30 stands of poplar trees, the diameter, height, wood ...

On The Interaction Of Channeling/Segmentation Cracks Of Coating: Study On The Critical Spacing

open access: yes, 2008
Channeling/segmentation cracks may arise in the coating subjected to in-plane tensile stress. The interaction between these multiple cracks, say the effect of the spacing between two adjacent cracks oil the behaviors of channels themselves and the ...

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Efeito do espaçamento no desenvolvimento volumétrico de Pinus taeda L.

open access: yesFloresta e Ambiente
