On the time gating of SPADs in a synchronized time-gated SPAD array in Raman spectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yes2017 IEEE SENSORS, 2017
The effect of the timing of the biasing of a single photon avalanche diode (SPAD) on the accuracy of a time-gated SPAD array has been studied in this work. The measurement was realized in a time-gated Raman spectrometer utilizing a 16×256 CMOS SPAD array with on-chip time gating electronics.

Cultivar Selection and Placement of Shadecloth on Midwest High Tunnels Affects Colored Bell Pepper Yield, Fruit Quality, and Plant Growth

open access: yesHortScience, 2020
Growing colored bell peppers in high tunnels enhances fruit quality and accelerates ripening. While there are benefits to high tunnel pepper production, increased heat inside the structures can lead to plant stress, blossom drop, sunscald, and reduced ...

Biochemical, Physiological and Yield Characteristics of Red Basil as Affected by Cultivar and Fertilization

open access: yesAgriculture, 2020
Unconventional fertilizers can act as elicitors to encourage the synthesis of phyto-pharmaceuticals in aromatic plants. In the present research, the effects of factorial combination between two red basil cultivars, ‘Opal’ and ‘De Buzau&#

Stimulatory Effect of Fe3O4 Nanoparticles on the Growth and Yield of Pseudostellaria heterophylla via Improved Photosynthetic Performance

open access: yesHortScience, 2021
Nanomaterials have recently been used as growth stimulants to promote the production of crops in saline-alkali through root application. However, if applied through leaves, little is known about the effect of Fe3O4 nanoparticles (NPs) on the root growth ...

Determination of Leaf Nitrogen Concentrations Using Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy in Multiple Crops

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2020
In this work, crop leaf nitrogen concentration (LNC) is predicted by leaf impedance measurements made by electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). This method uses portable equipment and is noninvasive, as are other available nondestructive methods, such ...

Assimilation capacity by non-destructive in situ measurements in longterm experiment of maize (Zea mays L.) under different plant density and nitrigen supply in Chernozem [PDF]

open access: yesActa Fytotechnica et Zootechnica, 2020
We conducted a long term experiment (set up in 1983) to examine the effects of fertilization and plant density on SPAD and LAI values as well as yield in 2017 and 2018, in two maize hybrids (Sushi, Fornad) in chernozem soil.
