Distributed SAR image change detection based on Spark

2015 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2015
SAR image change detection is a fundamental process in many applications such as damage assessment, natural disasters monitoring and urban planning. Now as the scale of images and the complexity of algorithms rise, sequential methods have been more and more inefficient and powerless.

Arc-Spark Source Unit Changes

Applied Spectroscopy, 1958
In commercial d.c. arc power supplies using a motor-driven variable reactor; it is not possible to predict accurately the excitation current before the arc is started. To permit pre-arc setting of the current, a circuit (Figure 1) is in use which temporarily shorts the d.c. so that its level can be adjusted.

SAR image change detection based on Spark-FLICM algorithm

2016 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2016
In this paper, we propose a Spark-based fuzzy local information C-Means (FLICM) algorithm that provides synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image change detection. With the volume and resolution of SAR images increasing, current serial clustering algorithms are not suitable to handle big data, scalable solutions are indispensable.

Distributed SAR Image Change Detection with OpenCL-Enabled Spark

Proceedings of the first Workshop on Emerging Technologies for software-defined and reconfigurable hardware-accelerated Cloud Datacenters, 2017
Distributed processing framework has been widely used in remote-sensing field. Spark, as a popular distributed computing framework, has been utilized to deal with big remote sensing data. However, it is inefficient due to that the application is not only data intensive but also computation intensive. For example, in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) image

Blending Borders and Sparking Change

Historical Studies in the Natural Sciences
Between the mid-1970s and mid-1980s, molecular simulations emerged as a transformative force within materials science. Sidney Yip’s early contributions at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, alongside his involvement in the 1985 International School of Physics “Enrico Fermi” in Varenna, Italy, catalyzed the convergence of traditional methods ...
