SPARQL-vision

Proceedings of the 30th ACM International Conference on Information & Knowledge Management, 2021
The wide adaptation of the Semantic Web and the Resource Description Framework (RDF) has made available many important datasets. The SPARQL query language facilitates the exploration of this information, which is available in a semi-structured way that does not comply with relational data models, deviating from exploration techniques that most ...

The Berlin SPARQL Benchmark

International Journal on Semantic Web and Information Systems, 2009
The SPARQL Query Language for RDF and the SPARQL Protocol for RDF are implemented by a growing number of storage systems and are used within enterprise and open Web settings. As SPARQL is taken up by the community, there is a growing need for benchmarks to compare the performance of storage systems that expose SPARQL endpoints via the SPARQL protocol ...

f-SPARQL: A Flexible Extension of SPARQL

2010
We propose an flexible extension of SPARQL by introducing fuzzy set theory and the α-cut operation of fuzzy numbers into SPARQL. We show how to efficiently compute the top-k answers of flexible SPARQL queries with regard to membership degrees and user-defined weights.

SPARQL-RW

Proceedings of the 15th International Conference on Extending Database Technology, 2012
The Web of Data is an open environment consisting of very large, inter-linked RDF datasets from various domains (e.g., DBpedia, GeoNames, ACM, PubMed, etc.) accessed through SPARQL queries. Establishing interoperability in this environment has become a major research challenge.

SPARQL-MM - Extending SPARQL to Media Fragments

2014
Interconnecting machine readable data with multimedia assets and fragments has recently become a common practice. But specific retrieval techniques for the so called Semantic Multimedia data are still lacking. On our poster we present SPARQL-MM, a function set that extends SPARQL to Media Fragment facilities by introducing spatio-temporal filter and ...

G-SPARQL

Proceedings of the 21st ACM international conference on Information and knowledge management, 2012
We propose a SPARQL-like language, G-SPARQL, for querying attributed graphs. The language expresses types of queries which of large interest for applications which model their data as large graphs such as: pattern matching, reachability and shortest path queries.

First International Workshop on Graph Data Management Experiences and Systems, 2013
As Semantic Web efforts continue to gather steam, the RDF engines are faced with graphs with millions of nodes and billions of edges. While much recent work in addressing the resulting scalability issues in processing queries over these datasets have mainly considered SPARQL 1.0, the next-generation query language recommendations have proposed the ...

On the Semantics of SPARQL

2009
The Resource Description Framework (RDF) is the standard data model for representing information about World Wide Web resources. In January 2008, it was released the recommendation of the W3C for querying RDF data, a query language called SPARQL. In this chapter, we give a detailed description of the semantics of this language.
