Diagnosis Method for Sparse Optimization Based on Multi-step Grid Search of Bearing Coupling Faults

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2022
Under the unbalance-bearing coupling fault of the rotor system, the unbalance fault features and bearing faults modulate each other, and the weak fault features are easily submerged by the strong fault features and strong noise components.

Sparse grid quadrature on products of spheres [PDF]

open access: yesNumerical Algorithms, 2015
We examine sparse grid quadrature on weighted tensor products (WTP) of reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces on products of the unit sphere, in the case of worst case quadrature error for rules with arbitrary quadrature weights. We describe a dimension adaptive quadrature algorithm based on an algorithm of Hegland (2003), and also formulate a version of ...

An Off-Grid DOA Estimation Method Using Proximal Splitting and Successive Nonconvex Sparsity Approximation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation is a fundamental problem in many signal processing. Recently, a variety of sparsity-aware methods have been proposed for DOA estimation.

On the dispersion of sparse grids

open access: yesJournal of Complexity, 2018
For any natural number $d$ and positive number $\varepsilon$, we present a point set in the $d$-dimensional unit cube $[0,1]^d$ that intersects every axis-aligned box of volume greater than $\varepsilon$. These point sets are very easy to handle and in a vast range for $\varepsilon$ and $d$, we do not know any smaller set with this property.

Generating Sparse Wire-Grid Antennas Using Maximum Current-Based Optimal Current Grid Approximation

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation
The rapid advancement of telecommunication systems demands antennas with reduced mass and size. Wire-grid structures serve as effective alternatives to traditional solid metal antennas by significantly reducing their mass.

Spatial biology in cancer epigenetics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Spatial epigenomics combines molecular profiling with tissue architecture to reveal how gene regulation is organized within intact tissues. In cancer, these technologies uncover the mechanisms driving tumor heterogeneity and microenvironmental interactions, opening new opportunities for biomarker discovery and precision medicine.
