Compressed sensing for wide-field radio interferometric imaging [PDF]
For the next generation of radio interferometric telescopes it is of paramount importance to incorporate wide field-of-view (WFOV) considerations in interferometric imaging, otherwise the fidelity of reconstructed images will suffer greatly.

Scale-discretised ridgelet transform on the sphere [PDF]
We revisit the spherical Radon transform, also called the Funk-Radon transform, viewing it as an axisymmetric convolution on the sphere. Viewing the spherical Radon transform in this manner leads to a straightforward derivation of its spherical harmonic ...

Coagulative granular hydrogels are composed of packed thrombin‐functionalized microgels that catalyze the conversion of fibrinogen into a secondary fibrin network, filling the interstitial voids. This bio‐inspired approach stabilizes the biomaterial to match the robustness of bulk hydrogels without compromising injectability, mimicking the initial ...

3D imaging of moving targets for ultra‐wideband MIMO through‐wall radar system
Ultra‐wideband (UWB) radar is widely used in static through‐wall imaging (TWI). There are still many imaging problems of motion through‐wall targets for complex system structure and unknown wall environment.

Terahertz dynamic aperture imaging at stand-off distances using a Compressed Sensing protocol
In this text, results of a 0.35 terahertz (THz) dynamic aperture imaging approach are presented. The experiments use an optical modulation approach and a single pixel detector at a stand-off imaging distance of approx 1 meter.

Sparse component separation for accurate CMB map estimation [PDF]
The Cosmological Microwave Background (CMB) is of premier importance for the cosmologists to study the birth of our universe. Unfortunately, most CMB experiments such as COBE, WMAP or Planck do not provide a direct measure of the cosmological signal; CMB

The water permeability of amorphous carbon dots (CDs) is demonstrated by investigating their plasticization. Novel polyamide‐based and amorphous nanoparticles are synthesized by controlling their inner packing density. Water plasticization is evidenced by the decrease of the CDs glass transition temperature with increasing the hydration degree.
