This study explores enzyme‐responsive nanoparticles for targeted antimicrobial release in inflamed oral environments. Nanoparticles formed by complexing peptides and chlorhexidine respond to human leukocyte elastase and release chlorhexidine selectively. P7 (ECAAPVCE)‐based formulations show optimal properties and stability, with antimicrobial activity

More on the F-test under nonspherical disturbances [PDF]
We show that the F-test can be both liberal and conservative in the context of a particular type of nonspherical behaviour induced by spatial autocorrelation, and that the conservative variant is more likely to occur for extreme values of the spatial ...

Abstract Dental microwear texture analysis (DMTA) has become a well‐established method for dietary inference and reconstruction in both extant and extinct mammals and other tetrapods. As the volume of available data continues to grow, researchers could benefit from combining published data from various studies to perform meta‐analyses.

Directed Continuous-Time Random Walk with memory
We propose a new Directed Continuous-Time Random Walk (CTRW) model with memory. As CTRW trajectory consists of spatial jumps preceded by waiting times, in Directed CTRW, we consider the case with only positive spatial jumps.

Abstract In a large sample of adult crab‐eating macaques, we quantified sexual dimorphism in size, shape, and covariance across the whole skull and among anatomical regions of the cranium and mandible. All regions showed significant mean sex differences, but the magnitude of size and shape dimorphism varied substantially.

Spatial Filtering and Eigenvector Stability: Space-Time Models for German Unemployment Data [PDF]
Regions, independent of their geographic level of aggregation, are known to be interrelated partly due to their relative locations. Similar economic performance among regions can be attributed to proximity.

ABSTRACT Cortical thickness (CT) differences between autistic individuals (AI) and neurotypical controls have been consistently reported, yet the neurochemical mechanisms underlying these differences remain insufficiently understood. Neurotransmitter receptor systems exhibit distinct spatial distributions across the cortex and influence synaptic ...

Spatial Econometrics Revisited: A Case Study of Land Values in Roanoke County [PDF]
Omitting spatial characteristics such as proximity to amenities from hedonic land value models may lead to spatial autocorrelation and biased and inefficient estimators.

Advances in causal discovery methods for ecological time series
ABSTRACT Recent advances in data collection technologies (e.g. automated sensor networks, satellite remote sensing, and high‐throughput sequencing) have greatly expanded the availability of ecological time series, enabling new opportunities for causal analyses in dynamic ecosystems.

FDI convergence and Spatial Dependence between Chinese Provinces [PDF]
This study aims at investigating the spatial dimension of the FDI. Considering the distribution of FDI between the provinces, our purpose is the spatial dependency that may be observed.
