Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

Geospatial Data Sharing Barriers across Organisations and the Possible Solution for Ethiopia

open access: yes, 2017
Geospatial data sharing across organisations is a well-recognized challenge with multiple facets. Due to the absence of appropriate space for the sharing of and access to geospatial assets, these often remain scattered and locked within various economic ...

Hyperosmotic stress‐induced redistribution of pre‐mRNA cleavage factor I subunits is associated with shifts in alternative polyadenylation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Hyperosmotic stress triggers the relocation of the CFIm complex from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. This shift creates a nuclear ‘stoichiometric bottleneck’, limiting CFIm availability for mRNA processing. Consequently, specific mRNAs like NUDT21 and DICER1 undergo targeted 3′UTR shortening, demonstrating how spatial protein dynamics drive rapid ...

Spatial Web Portal for Building Spatial Data Infrastructure

open access: yesAnnals of GIS, 2006
Abstract The past decades have witnessed the rapid growth of heterogeneous geospatial information systems. An important way to share these valuable assets is a spatial data infrastructure (SDI). Recent developments in Web Services and distributed geospatial information services(Yang et al., 2005) provide a practical approach, Web Portals, to building a
