On the Combination of Spatial Diversity and Multiuser Diversity
IEEE Communications Letters, 2004The intention of this letter is to clarify various aspects related to the combined use of spatial diversity and multiuser diversity in a mobile network. We consider a system with one base station and K users, and study five different spatial diversity transmission modes.

On the combination of spatial diversity and multiuser diversity under spatial correlation
2005 2nd Asia Pacific Conference on Mobile Technology, Applications and Systems, 2005The intention of this paper is to study the impact of the spatial correlation between transmit antennas on the performance of multiuser system in the downlink. Exact expressions for the average channel capacity of the multiuser diversity systems combined with transmit diversity are derived, and based on this, average capacity is analyzed.

Ontological Modularity and Spatial Diversity
Spatial Cognition & Computation, 2007In this paper we propose that adequate treatments of space need to be multiperspecti- val and related to sound foundational ontologies. To support this, we show that natural spatial descriptions commonly appeal to diverse theories of space and these need to be formally combined to be fully interpreted. Our account draws particularly on the foundational

Effects of Spatial Competition on the Diversity of a Quasispecies
Physical Review Letters, 2008The diversity harbored by populations of RNA viruses results from high mutation rates, as well as from the characteristics of the environment where they evolve. By means of a simple model for structured quasispecies, we quantify how competition for space among phenotypic types shapes their distribution at the mutation-selection equilibrium.
