PD‐1 Inhibits CD4+ TRM‐Mediated cDC1 Mobilization via Suppressing JAML in Human NSCLC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CD4+ tissue‐resident memory T cells (TRMs) in non‐small cell lung cancer recruit conventional type 1 dendritic cells via XCL1‐XCR1 signaling, orchestrating antitumor immunity. The costimulatory molecule JAML is essential for this process. PD‐1 blockade restores JAML expression and cDC1 mobilization, while JAML agonists synergize with anti‐PD‐1 therapy,

The Osteoblastic Microenvironment Determines the Fate of Breast Cancer Cells Disseminated in the Bone Marrow

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study revealed how the osteoblastic microenvironment determines the fate of cancer cells disseminated in bone, with a focus on whether they colonize, reside in quiescence, or reactivate from dormancy. Targeting integrin signaling may offer promising strategies for preventing quiescent cancer cells reactivation and bone colonization.

Reaching the pinnacle of high-capacity optical transmission using a standard cladding diameter coupled-core multi-core fiber

open access: yesNature Communications
Data rates in optical networks have grown exponentially in recent decades and are expected to grow beyond the fundamental limits of current standard single-mode fiber networks. As such, novel transmission technologies are required to sustain this growth,

Demonstration of an SDM Network Testbed for Joint Spatial Circuit and Packet Switching †

open access: yesPhotonics, 2018
We demonstrate a spatial division multiplexing (SDM) network testbed composed of three nodes connected via 19-core multi-core fibers. Each node is capable of joint spatial circuit switching and joint packet switching to support 10 Tb/s spatial circuit ...

Temporal and Cell‐Specific Regulation of Synaptic Homeostasis by the Chromatin Remodeler Chd1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Chd1, the Drosophila homologue of mammalian CHD2 ‐ a gene linked to autism, epilepsy, and intellectual disability, is required for synaptic homeostatic plasticity. Chd1 in glia is necessary for the rapid induction of synaptic homeostasis, whereas Chd1 in motoneurons, muscle, and glia is critical for long‐term maintenance.

Pathogenic Role of FGFR3 Autoantibodies in Small Fiber Neuropathy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Autoantibodies against fibroblast growth factor receptor 3 (FGFR3) are identified as pathogenic drivers of pain in small fiber neuropathy. By binding to sensory neurons in dorsal root ganglia, FGFR3 autoantibodies activate MAPK signaling and induce hyperexcitability and mechanical hypersensitivity, establishing FGFR3 autoantibodies as a therapeutic ...

Versatile CRISPR‐Cas Tools for Gene Regulation in Zebrafish via an Enhanced Q Binary System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces CRISPR‐Q, a transgenic CRISPR‐Cas system leveraging the QFvpr/QUAS binary expression platform in zebrafish. CRISPR‐Q overcomes previous challenges in achieving stable and efficient gene regulation. By enabling precise spatiotemporal control of transcript knockdown (CRISPR‐QKD) and gene activation (CRISPR‐Qa), it provides a ...

Real-Time Spatial-Division Multiplexing Transmission with Commercial 400 Gb/s Transponders

open access: yesPhotonics
As single-mode-fiber transmission systems are reaching their capacity limits, spatial-division multiplexing (SDM) techniques have been investigated to increase the per-fiber capacity.

APOE‐stratified Proteomic and Metabolomic Analysis Reveals Mitochondrial Dysfunction Inflammation and Lipid Dysregulation in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A large‐scale multiomic dataset (proteomic and metabolomic) comprising 3,060 plasma samples were analyzed to identify proteins, metabolites, pathways, and protein‐associated drugs linked to Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) independently of apolipoprotein E (APOE). AD was associated with a distinct molecular signature that captures.

DSG2+ Cancer Stem Cells Co‐Located With FAP+ Myofibroblasts in the Tumor Boundary That Determines the Efficacy of Immunotherapy in Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cancer stem cells (CSCs) in non‐small cell lung cancer display pronounced plasticity and spatial heterogeneity. By integrating single‐cell and spatial transcriptomics, this study defines a DSG2‐associated CSC program and reveals a tumor‐margin niche formed with FAP+ myofibroblasts.
