Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Spectral-based regression model for destriping of abnormal pixel values in PRISMA hyperspectral image

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Remote Sensing, 2022
Hyperspectral imageries are often degraded by systematic sensor-based errors known as “striping noises”. This study implements a spectral-based regression algorithm from highly correlated consecutive bands, i.e.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Spatially embedded dynamics and complexity [PDF]

open access: yesComplexity, 2010
AbstractTo gain a deeper understanding of the impact of spatial embedding on the dynamics of complex systems, we use a measure of interaction complexity developed within neuroscience using the tools of statistical information theory. We apply this measure to a set of simple network models embedded within Euclidean spaces of varying dimensionality to ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Optimizing spatial survey administration adopting RT-GSCS: A statistical perspective on performance metrics

open access: yesMethodsX
The Real-Time Geo-Spatial Consensus System (RT-GSCS) is a web-based open-source tool designed for the administration of real-time spatial surveys. One distinguishing feature of this system lies in the adoption of the Real-Time Spatial Delphi logic as the
