Towards a spatial multidimensional model
Proceedings of the 8th ACM international workshop on Data warehousing and OLAP, 2005Data warehouses and OLAP systems help to interactively analyze huge volume of data. This data, extracted from transactional databases, frequently contains spatial information which is useful for decision-making process. Integration of spatial data in multidimensional models leads to the concept of SOLAP (Spatial OLAP).

A SPATIAL MODEL OF THE BANKING INDUSTRY
The Journal of Finance, 1977DESPITE UNFLAGGING INTEREST in the structure and performance of the banking industry, systematic explanation of the size-distribution of banks, their location, the spatial distribution of prices and profits, and the entry process remains elusive. There appear to be at least two reasons for this void.

Among the different capabilities of animals, the formation of spatial memories is crucial for their life. Living beings able to move, constantly need to orient themselves in the environment to reach a target that might be not always visible. This chapter investigates the process of spatial memory formation as an essential ingredient for orientation in ...

Computer-based spatial models, representing the past and present disposition and configuration of sets of rock bodies, are a potentially important segment of a geological knowledge base. A spatial model is an interpretation that should be consistent with available data and with expectations based on knowledge of the processes which formed and deformed ...

Alternative Models of Spatial Competition
Operations Research, 1986The concept of a spatial price equilibrium underlies most studies of spatial movement and competition. However, this concept is based upon a notion of perfectly competitive markets that is often unrealistic for many markets, such as the markets for oil and coal, and ignores the existence of local spatial monopolies.

Spatial Modeling With Spatially Varying Coefficient Processes
Journal of the American Statistical Association, 2003In many applications, the objective is to build regression models to explain a response variable over a region of interest under the assumption that the responses are spatially correlated. In nearly all of this work, the regression coefficients are assumed to be constant over the region.
