Spatially multiplexed infrared camera*
Journal of the Optical Society of America, 1975A spatially multiplexed infrared camera is described. The camera records an image by measuring the coefficients of an orthogonal series expansion of the two-dimensional radiance distribution. By choice of appropriate functions, significant gains in the picture signal-to-noise ratio can be realized.
