Research on the causes of smog and the effect of spatial spillover
Abstract This paper uses the method of spatial measurement to explore the interaction of smog pollution between local and remote areas in 31 provinces in China and the impact of economic changes. Global spatial correlation analysis shows that there is significant spatial positive correlation of smog pollution, and local spatial ...

Car Travel Demand: Spillovers and Asymmetric Price Effects in a Spatial Setting [PDF]
A novel analysis framework for the spatial aspects of car travel, measured by vehicle miles traveled (VMT), is introduced in this paper. The specification of a dynamic spatial Durbin model enables the analysis of VMT spatial spillovers and diffusion between neighboring areas in the short and long run.

Beyond univariate measurement of spatial autocorrelation: disaggregated spillover effects for Indonesia [PDF]
Most studies that incorporate spatial effects use a very limited number of spatial variables in the growth model, e.g. growth spillovers or infrastructure impacts of neighbouring regions. This article innovates on previous work in spatial econometrics by differentiating among spatial contributions to economic development; e.g.

The distance decay effect and spatial reach of spillovers
Abstract This paper quantifies and graphically illustrates the distance decay effect and spatial reach of spillover effects derived from a spatial Durbin (SD) model with parameterized spatial weight matrices. Building on attributes of the concept of spatial autocorrelation developed by Arthur Getis, we adopt a distance-based negative ...

Agricultural Productivity and its Spatial Spillover Effects in China
In the context of China’s pursuit of high-quality economic development, enhancing agricultural productivity is crucial for ensuring food security and promoting common prosperity. This paper constructs a systematic IV-LP-ACF-SAR econometric framework to analyze agricultural Total Factor Productivity (TFP) growth using panel data from 31 Chinese ...
