Dynamical symmetries of the spdf interacting boson model

Journal of Physics G: Nuclear and Particle Physics, 1994
The dynamical symmetries of the nuclear spdf interacting boson model are discussed systematically. The possible dynamical symmetry group chains are given. The branching rules of reductions in the group chains, the dynamical symmetry Hamiltonians and the energy spectra of the limits SUpdf(5), Ospdf(6), SUspdf(3) and Ospdf(4) are presented.

A novel SPDF ensemble classifier for cancer classification

2013 Ninth International Conference on Natural Computation (ICNC), 2013
To gain more accurate and reliable cancer classification results through DNA microarray analysis, a novel ensemble classifier SPDF (Subspace Partial least square based Decision Forest) is developed. The original data are split into subspaces by column. For each subspace, partial least square (PLS) is applied to extract orthogonal latent variables (LVs).

Pion-nucleus scattering and the {spdf} interacting boson model

Journal of Physics G: Nuclear and Particle Physics, 1994
An approach in which the eikonal approximation theory is combined with the {spdf} interacting boson model is proposed in an attempt to include nucleon correlations in the description of pion-nucleus scattering. The channel-coupling effect in the excitation of the nuclear collective state is taken into account in the approach.

Octupole correlations in the actinides and the spdf-IBA model

Physics of Atomic Nuclei, 2001
The octupole bands in the Z∼88, N∼134 region, with their abundance of experimental information, offer a real challenge for different nuclear structure models. In this region, quasimolecular bands, which are thought to indicate the presence of stable octupole deformation, have been observed.
