Zero-Shot Unseen Speaker Anonymization via Voice Conversion

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
Speech-based interfaces provide convenient methods for controlling various smart devices. For these interfaces to work reliably, considerable speech data with various noise and speaker characteristics must be collected to train the associated speech ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Unfamiliar voice identification: Effect of post-event information on accuracy and voice ratings

open access: yes, 2014
This study addressed the effect of misleading post-event information (PEI) on voice ratings, identification accuracy, and confidence, as well as the link between verbal recall and accuracy.

Multimodal speaker identification [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
This Master Thesis (MT) describes different techniques for speaker identification. Our goal is two-fold: first to build and curate an image and audio dataset and second to use it to create a speaker recognition ...

Laplacian Operator as Speaker Identification Parameter

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Physics, 2009
New speaker identification test’s feature, extracted from the differentiated form of the wave file, is presented. Differentiation operation is performed by an operator similar to the Laplacian operator.

A high-performance text-independent speaker identification of Arabic speakers using a CHMM-based approach

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2011
This paper reports an approach that depends on Continuous Hidden Markov Models (CHMMs) to identify Arabic speakers automatically from their voices. The Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCCs) were selected to describe the speech signal.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.
