The generalized hypergeometric difference equation
A difference equation analogue of the generalized hypergeometric differential equation is defined, its contiguous relations are developed, and its relation to numerous well-known classical special functions are demonstrated.

Representation of some special functions on transcendence basis
The special functions such as multiple harmonic sums, polyzetas or multiple polylogarithm functions are compatible with quasi-shuffle algebras. By using transcendence bases of the quasi-shuffle algebras studied in the paper [4], we will express non ...

Special Issue: “Functional Dendrimers” [PDF]
This special issue entitled “Functional Dendrimers” focuses on the manipulation of at least six “critical nanoscale design parameters” (CNDPs) of dendrimers including: size, shape, surface chemistry, flexibility/rigidity, architecture and elemental composition. These CNDPs collectively define properties of all “functional dendrimers”.

On new general integral inequalities for h- convex functions [PDF]
In this paper, we derive new estimates for the remainder term of the midpoint, trapezoid, and Simpson formulae for functions whose derivatives in absolute value at certain power are h-convex and we point out the results for some special classes of ...

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is of huge importance, resulting in over 1 million deaths each year. Here, we describe how a new drug, enmetazobactam, designed to help fight resistant bacterial diseases, inhibits a key enzyme (GES‐1) responsible for AMR. Our data show it is a more potent inhibitor than the related tazobactam, with high‐level computation

Two-loop RG functions of the massive φ4 field theory in general dimensions
Two-loop Feynman integrals of the massive φ4d field theory are explicitly obtained for generic space dimensions d. Corresponding renormalization-group functions are expressed in a compact form in terms of Gauss hypergeometric functions.

Hermite Functions, Lie Groups and Fourier Analysis
In this paper, we present recent results in harmonic analysis in the real line R and in the half-line R + , which show a closed relation between Hermite and Laguerre functions, respectively, their symmetry groups and Fourier analysis. This

Imeglimin attenuates liver fibrosis by inhibiting vesicular ATP release from hepatic stellate cells
Imeglimin, at clinically relevant concentrations, inhibits vesicular ATP accumulation and release from hepatic stellate cells, thereby attenuating purinergic signaling and reducing fibrogenic activation. This mechanism reveals a newly identified antifibrotic action of imeglimin beyond glycemic control.
