Extremal properties of extreme and support points of univalent functions with montel normalization

open access: yes, 2008
Let U = {z : vertical bar z vertical bar < 1} be the unit disk. The Montel class, M(a), is the class of functions f (z) = a(1)z + a(2)z(2) +..., which are analytic and univalent in the unit disk and satisfy the conditions f (0) = 0 and f (a) = a, (0 ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Fourier Series Related to p-Trigonometric Functions

open access: yesAxioms
In this paper, we introduce the concept of generalized Fourier series, generated by the p-trigonometric functions, namely cosp and sinp, recently introduced related to the generalized complex numbers systems.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

On partial derivative-Neumann's problem in generalized functions framework

open access: yes, 1998
In this paper, we show that the equation delta u/delta (z) over bar + Gu = f, where the elements involved are in generalized functions context, has a local solution in the generalized functions context.Departamento de Matemática FEIS-UNESP, São ...

Special values of the Bell polynomials of the second kind for some sequences and functions

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2020
In the paper, after concisely surveying some closed formulas and applications of special values of the Bell polynomials of the second kind for some special sequences and elementary functions, the authors newly establish some closed formulas for some ...

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.
