The connection between different classes of special functions is a very important aspect in establishing new properties of the related classical functions that is they can inherit the properties of each other. Here we show how the Hermite polynomials are

Method for determining eigen numbers in heat conduction problems for a cylinder
RELEVANCE. Due to the difficulties of finding eigenvalues and proper functions for bodies with axial (cylinder) and central (ball) symmetries defined in classical methods from the edge Sturm-Liouville problems, including Bessel equations whose exact ...

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Continuous-time orthogonal basis functions play a fundamental role in system identification, signal approximation, model reduction, and control, where compact and numerically efficient representations of dynamical systems are required.

TWO-DIMENSIONAL HYBRIDS WITH MIXED BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS
Boundary value problems are considered on a simplex F in the real Euclidean space R2. The recent discovery of new families of special functions, orthogonal on F, makes it possible to consider not only the Dirichlet or Neumann boundary value problems on F,

Yang-Baxter R-operators for osp superalgebras
We study Yang-Baxter equations with orthosymplectic supersymmetry. We extend a new approach of the construction of the spinor and metaplectic Rˆ-operators with orthogonal and symplectic symmetries to the supersymmetric case of orthosymplectic symmetry ...

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

INTERPOLATING WAVELETS ON THE SPHERE
There are several works where bases of wavelets on the sphere (mainly orthogonal and wavelet-like bases) were constructed. In all such constructions, the authors seek to preserve the most important properties of classical wavelets including constructions

On conformable fractional Legendre polynomials and their convergence properties with applications
The main objective of this paper is to give a wide study on the conformable fractional Legendre polynomials (CFLPs). This study is assumed to be a generalization and refinement, in an easy way, of the scalar case into the context of the conformable ...

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...
