Bundling Equilibrium in Combinatorial auctions

open access: yes
This paper analyzes individually-rational ex post equilibrium in the VC (Vickrey-Clarke) combinatorial auctions. If $\Sigma$ is a family of bundles of goods, the organizer may restrict the participants by requiring them to submit their bids only for ...

"On the 'Faustian' Dynamics of Policy and Political Power" [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper examines the Faustian dynamics of policy and power. We posit a general class of dynamic games in which current policies affect the future distribution of political power, resulting in the following “Faustian trade off”: if the current ruler ...

De Novo Design of Membrane‐Targeting Antimicrobial Peptides Against Gram‐Negative Bacteria Using a Generative Artificial Intelligence Framework

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Antimicrobial resistance caused by Gram‐negative bacteria remains difficult to overcome due to the protective outer membrane. To address this challenge, a multi‐condition constrained generative AI framework, GenMTAMP is proposed for de novo membrane‐targeting antimicrobial peptide design by integrating physicochemical and spatial structure descriptors.

Labor Differentiation and Agglomeration in General Equilibrium [PDF]

open access: yes
The aim of this paper is to explore the structure of cities as a function of labor differentiation, gains to trade, a fixed cost for constructing the transportation network, a variable cost of commodity transport, and the commuting costs of consumers ...

Advancing Energy Materials by In Situ Atomic Scale Methods

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
Progress in in situ atomic scale methods leads to an improved understanding of new and advanced energy materials, where a local understanding of complex, inhomogeneous systems or interfaces down to the atomic scale and quantum level is required. Topics from photovoltaics, dissipation losses, phase transitions, and chemical energy conversion are ...

Engineering Na‐Rich P2‐Type Layered Oxides Through Li/Ti Dual Doping for Oxygen Redox Activation and Superior Structural Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
P2‐type sodium layered oxides have potential for high‐voltage operation but suffer from structural instability and capacity fading. This work demonstrates that synergistic Li and Ti co‐doping enhances sodium inventory, suppresses detrimental phase transitions, and activates reversible lattice oxygen redox.

Self‐Activating Electrocatalysts for Water Splitting: Advancing Structure–Performance Understanding and Beyond

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Self‐activating electrocatalysts offer strong potential for advanced water splitting, enabled by their dynamic compositional and structural evolution during operation. This review highlights recent advances in self‐activating OER and HER catalysts, emphasizing the driving forces and mechanisms underlying their adaptive behavior. A conceptual network of

Mythical Ages and Methodological Strictures - Joan Robinson's Contributions to the Theory of Economic Growth [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper considers some methodological aspects of Joan Robinson's contribution to post-Keynesian growth theory. Joan Robinson's criticisms of equilibrium analysis, of the conflation of logical and historical time and of the uses (and misuses) of ...
