P2‐type sodium layered oxides have potential for high‐voltage operation but suffer from structural instability and capacity fading. This work demonstrates that synergistic Li and Ti co‐doping enhances sodium inventory, suppresses detrimental phase transitions, and activates reversible lattice oxygen redox.

We present a simple theory of the quality of elected officials. Quality has (at least) two dimensions: competence and honesty. Voters prefer competent and honest policymakers, so high-quality citizens have a greater chance of being elected to office. But

Of Candidates and Character [PDF]
We study the characteristics of self-selected candidates in corrupt political systems. Potential candidates differ along two dimensions of unobservable character: public spirit (altruism toward others) and honesty (the disutility suffered when selling ...

Degradation Mechanisms of Rutile‐Type TiO2 Photoanodes during Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting
Combining operando dissolution measurements with microscopy and spectroscopy characterizations, we reveal different degradation mechanisms of rutile‐type TiO2 photoanodes during photoelectrochemical water splitting. In acidic electrolytes, degradation is inhibited once TiO2 reaches saturation.

Emerging Materials and Future Strategies for Solid Oxide Electrochemical Cells
Solid oxide electrochemical cells operate under strongly coupled electrochemical and thermodynamic conditions, where performance is constrained by interactions among crystal structure, defect chemistry, and interfacial evolution. This review, based on a structure‐defect‐property‐durability framework, reveals the roles of lattice symmetry and defect ...

The Bad Government: A Source of Uncertainty and Business Fluctuations [PDF]
Uncertainty represented by volatilities in equity markets has been observed to be time-variable and lead output fluctuations. In the rational expectation framework, uncertainty with this nature needs exogenous variables with time-varying volatilities ...

Equilibria for circular spatial Cournot markets [PDF]
This paper investigates a location-quantity model in a circular city. Pal (1998) investigates a duopoly model and finds that an equidistant location pattern appears in equilibrium. Matsushima (2001a) investigates an n-firm oligopoly model and shows that,
