Mixed‐species social aggregations in Madagascan tadpoles—determinants and species composition [PDF]
The frequency, species composition, and determinants of mixed‐species tadpole aggregations were analysed under natural conditions in a dry forest of western Madagascar. Most aggregations (73%) were formed by more than one species, with up to four species per individual aggregation.

A large part of the environmental impact of animal production systems is due to the production of feed. Insects are suggested to efficiently convert feed to body mass and might therefore form a more sustainable food and/or feed source.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Distribution modeling, soil properties, and variation in essential oils chemical composition of Rhanterium adpressum Coss. & Dur. [PDF]
Modeling the distribution of Rhanterium adpressum, an endemic species from southwestern Algeria, and the interactions of soil’s chemical properties with the variability of chemical composition of its essential oils makes the objective of this study ...

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Disturbances shape the tree community in Ghana's Mole National Park
Background: The ability of protected areas worldwide to sustain biodiversity is often severely limited due to their vulnerability to persistent and intense disturbance-related drivers, such as agricultural expansion and the exploitation of ecosystem ...

Assessing the vulnerability of Australia’s urban forests to climate extremes
Societal Impact Statement Urban forests are recognized for the multiple benefits they provide to city‐dwellers. However, climate change will affect tree species survival and persistence in urban ecosystems.
