Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

MetaRange.jl: A Dynamic and Metabolic Species Range Model for Plant Species
Process‐based models for range dynamics are urgently needed due to increasing intensity of human‐induced biodiversity change. Despite a few existing models that focus on demographic processes, their use remains limited compared to the widespread ...

Time to a single hybridization event in a group of species with unknown ancestral history
We consider a stochastic process for the generation of species which combines a Yule process with a simple model for hybridization between pairs of co-existent species.

Incorporating microclimate into species distribution models
Species distribution models (SDMs) have rapidly evolved into one of the most widely used tools to answer a broad range of ecological questions, from the effects of climate change to challenges for species management.

Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.

Geobotanical distinction using the floristic method: example of the Polish Pomerania
In the geobotanical division of Poland, Pomerania was treated as a separate subdivision, divided into “coastal plains” and the “Pomeranian uplands” or, in the newest regionalization, the “Pomeranian division”.

Deepwater and Other Sharks of the U.S. Atlantic Ocean Exclusive Economic Zone [PDF]
Fifty-one deepwater and other shark species of the U.S. Exclusive Economic Zone in the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico, which currently are not included in any Federal fishery management plan, are described, with a focus on primary distribution.

Can species distribution models really predict the expansion of invasive species?
Predictive studies are of paramount importance for biological invasions, one of the biggest threats for biodiversity. To help and better prioritize management strategies, species distribution models (SDMs) are often used to predict the potential invasive
