Speckle interferometry is a technique which utilizes the full diffraction-limited imaging potential of ground-based telescopes. Short exposure images, or specklegrams, with an exposure time less than that of the atmospheric correlation time (~5- 50 ms) preserve the high-spatial frequency information lost in long exposure imaging.

Speckle Interferometry at SOAR Telescope in 2023 [PDF]
Results of the speckle-interferometry observations at the 4.1 m Southern Astrophysical Research Telescope obtained during 2023 are presented: 1913 measurements of 1533 resolved pairs or subsystems (median separation 0.″16) and nonresolutions of 552 ...

Observational Speckle Interferometry [PDF]
AbstractSpeckle interferometry techniques have improved appreciably during the past few years. Current progress to be reviewed includes: steps towards a fully digital analysis in the photon counting mode allowing for high resolution on faint astrophysical objects (i.e.

Dynamic speckle - Interferometry of micro-displacements [PDF]
The problem of the dynamics of speckles in the image plane of the object, caused by random movements of scattering centers is solved. We consider three cases: 1) during the observation the points move at random, but constant speeds, and 2) the relative ...

Convolutional neural network optimisation to enhance ESPI fringe visibility [PDF]
The use of convolutional neuronal networks (CNN) for the treatment of interferometric fringes has been introduced in recent years. In this paper, we optimize and build a CNN model, based U-NET architecture, to maximize its performance processing ...

Microshape Measurement Method Using Speckle Interferometry Based on Phase Analysis
A method for the measurement of the shape of a fine structure beyond the diffraction limit based on speckle interferometry has been reported. In this paper, the mechanism for measuring the shape of the fine structure in speckle interferometry using ...
