Two Organic Cation Salts Containing Tetra(isothiocyanate)cobaltate(II): Synthesis, Crystal Structures, Spectroscopic, Optical and Magnetic Properties

open access: yesCrystals, 2017
Single crystals of two hybrid organic-inorganic molecular solids, benzyl pyridinium tetra(isothiocyanate)cobalt ([BzPy]2[Co(NCS)4]) (1) and benzyl quinolinium tetra(isothiocyanate)cobalt ([BzQl]2[Co(NCS)4]) (2), were grown using a slow evaporation growth

FT-IR spectroscopy of CAI and chondrules in primitive chondrites: techniques and first results [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
From the Introduction: Here we present preliminary mid-infrared spectra of CAI, chondrules and matrix from the CV3.2 carbonaceous chondrite Allende. This is part of our ongoing project to compile a database of infrared and optical spectra of minerals and

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Modification of the transmission spectrum of the ”semiconductor-dielectric” photonic crystal in an external magnetic field

open access: yesAdvanced Electromagnetics, 2017
In this paper, some features of electromagnetic transmission of the waves of ”semiconductor dielectric” periodic Bragg structure with a finite number of periods have been investigated.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Infrared spectra of the cluster ions H7O + 3·H2 and H9O + 4·H2 [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
Infrared spectra of hydrated hydronium ions weakly bound to an H2 molecule, specifically H7O + 3 ·H2 and H9O + 4 ·H2, have been observed. Mass-selected parent ions, trapped in a radio frequency ion trap, are excited by a tunable infrared laser; following
