Abstract This narrative review summarizes the collective knowledge on periodontal microbiology, through a historical timeline that highlights the European contribution in the global field. The etiological concepts on periodontal disease culminate to the ecological plaque hypothesis and its dysbiosis‐centered interpretation.

Greek ΜΝΗΣΘΗ and Aramaic DKYR in the Near East: A Comparative Epigraphic Study
ABSTRACT Past studies of graffiti containing the word ΜΝΗΣΘΗ have never fully established its intrinsic meaning. However, due to the existence of the Aramaic term DKYR, which carries a seemingly identical meaning to ΜΝΗΣΘΗ, in similar contexts in the Roman Near East, a comparison between both words is possible. Four distinct sites where the coexistence

Binary spectral collocation method for the nonlinear Fokker-Planck equation
A mixed Laguerre-Legendre spectral collocation schemes is constructed for initial-boundary value problem of the nonlinear Fokker-Planck nonhomogeneous equations and the linear Fokker-Planck homogeneous equation by using the Laguerre interpolation functions in velocity, and the Legendre interpolation functions in time, which is a bivariate Lagrange ...

FOURIER SPECTRAL METHODS FOR PSEUDO-PARABOLIC EQUATIONS
Fourier spectral methods of Galerkin and collocation type for quasilinear pseudo-parabolic equations are presented. Convergence with spectral accuracy is proved for both Galerkin and collocation approximations.

Iron Ore Pricing in China: Financialization Through a Marxist Lens
We offer a Marxist interpretation of financialization as we examine the Chinese market for iron ore and the shift in the pricing mechanism from an annual fixed price to an indexed price from 2010. Drawing upon Marx's theory of the circuit of capital, we illustrate an empirical case of financialization that results from the conflict between social ...

A Comparative Study of Spectral Methods for Valuing Financial Options
Spectral methods have been actively developed in the last decades. The main advantage of these methods is that they yield exponential order accuracy if the function is smooth enough.

ABSTRACT This article explores Australian media commentary on white Rhodesians migrating to Australia, focusing on the period of Malcolm Fraser's prime ministership (1975–1983). The main argument is that the Australian media debates about whether to classify white Rhodesians as ‘migrants’ or ‘refugees’ were not merely semantic but reflected a deeper ...

Is support for authoritarian rule contagious? Evidence from field and survey experiments
Abstract The increasing popularity of strongman rule in democratic societies underscores the need to explore how authoritarian regime preferences might spread socially. We assess the role of social influence on support for leaders with authoritarian inclinations through preregistered field and survey experiments in the Norwegian Armed Forces. The field

ABSTRACT Background Pro‐inflammatory cytokines, TNF and IL‐1B, are essential for testicular homeostasis. Diacerein, an anti‐inflammatory drug, inhibits these cytokines, impairing M2 macrophages and Leydig cells (LCs). However, its impact on Sertoli cells (SCs) and M1 (CD68) macrophages remains unknown.
