EMT‐associated bias in the Parsortix® system observed with pancreatic cancer cell lines

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The Parsortix® system was tested for CTC enrichment using pancreatic cancer cell lines with different EMT phenotypes. Spike‐in experiments showed lower recovery of mesenchymal‐like cells. This was confirmed with an EMT‐inducible breast cancer cell line.

Explosive Episodes and Time-Varying Volatility: A New MARMA–GARCH Model Applied to Cryptocurrencies

open access: yesEconometrics
Financial assets often exhibit explosive price surges followed by abrupt collapses, alongside persistent volatility clustering. Motivated by these features, we introduce a mixed causal–noncausal invertible–noninvertible autoregressive moving average ...

Distances between power spectral densities

open access: yes, 2006
We present several natural notions of distance between spectral density functions of (discrete-time) random processes. They are motivated by certain filtering problems. First we quantify the degradation of performance of a predictor which is designed for

Photo-emission rate of sQGP at finite density

open access: yes, 2010
We calculate the thermal spectral function of SYM plasma with finite density using holographic technique. We take the RN-AdS black hole as the dual gravity theory.

A DIA‐MS‐based proteomics approach to find potential serum prognostic biomarkers in glioblastoma patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A DIA‐MS‐based proteomics analysis of serum samples from GB patients and healthy controls showed that high levels of IL1R2 and low levels of CRTAC1 and HRG in serum are associated with poor survival outcomes for GB patients. These circulating proteins could serve as biomarkers for the prediction of outcome in patients with GB.

Darboux transformation for the discrete Schrodinger equation

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2019
The discrete Schrodinger equation on a half-line lattice with the Dirichlet boundary condition is considered when the potential is real valued, is summable, and has a finite first moment.

Spectral analysis of oscillatory wind wave parameters in fetch-limited deep-water conditions at a small reservoir and their prediction: Case Study of the Hulín Reservoir in the Czech Republic

open access: yesJournal of Hydrology and Hydromechanics
The dams and banks of small water reservoirs face significant erosion from wind-generated oscillatory waves. Proper design of structure height is crucial to protect such banks against erosion, considering the maximum characteristics of wind waves.

Spectral density of mixtures of random density matrices for qubits

open access: yes, 2018
We derive the spectral density of the equiprobable mixture of two random density matrices of a two-level quantum system. We also work out the spectral density of mixture under the so-called quantum addition rule.
