Soliton microcomb based spectral domain optical coherence tomography [PDF]
AbstractSpectral domain optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a widely employed, minimally invasive bio-medical imaging technique, which requires a broadband light source, typically implemented by super-luminescent diodes. Recent advances in soliton based photonic integrated frequency combs (soliton microcombs) have enabled the development of low-noise,

Understanding pseudopapilledema on spectral domain optical coherence tomography. [PDF]
Abstract Objective: Optic nerve head drusen (ONHD), peripapillary hyperreflective ovoid mass like structures (PHOMS) and horizontal hyperreflective lines (HHL) are commonly seen in eyes with pseudopapilledema on spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SDOCT) .The objective of this study is to ...

Multirate Spectral Domain Optical Coherence Tomography
Optical coherence tomography is state-of-the-art in non-invasive imaging of biological structures. Spectral Domain Optical Co-herence Tomography is the popularly used variation of this technique, but its performance is limited by the bandwidth and res-olution of the system.

Deferoxamine retinopathy: spectral domain-optical coherence tomography findings [PDF]
To describe the spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) findings of a patient who developed pigmentary retinopathy following high-dose deferoxamine administration.A 34-year-old man with thalassemia major complained of nyctalopia and decreased vision following high-dose intravenous deferoxamine to treat systemic iron overload.

Pixel-Reassigned Spectral-Domain Optical Coherence Tomography
A novel method of pixel reassignment (PRA) is proposed to achieve transverse superresolution in the confocal microscopy. Inspired by it, for the first time, we report a pixel-reassigned spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (OCT) with $\sim$1.5 times transverse resolution improvement both in numerical simulations and imaging experiments.

CHOROIDAL IMAGING USING SPECTRAL-DOMAIN OPTICAL COHERENCE TOMOGRAPHY [PDF]
A structurally and functionally normal choroidal vasculature is essential for retinal function. Therefore, a precise clinical understanding of choroidal morphology should be important for understanding many retinal and choroidal diseases.PUBMED (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?db=pubmed) was used for most of the literature search for this ...

Adaptive balanced detection spectral domain optical coherence tomography. [PDF]
Balanced detection optical coherence tomography (BD-OCT) enables near-shot noise-limited imaging by suppressing wavelength-dependent relative intensity noise (RIN) originating from the light source. In spectral-domain BD-OCT (SD-BD-OCT), the level of RIN suppression relies on the co-registration accuracy of the spectra simultaneously captured by two ...

Spectral Domain Optical Coherence Tomography and Glaucoma [PDF]
Glaucoma may be the second leading cause of blindness in the world, affecting about 60 million people globally.1,2 The true prevalence may be underestimated as up to half of patients with glaucoma are undiagnosed, and a large proportion of glaucoma patients who are eligible for registration as legally blind remain unregistered.3–7 Glaucoma is a ...

Quantum-inspired detection for spectral domain optical coherence tomography [PDF]
Intensity levels allowed by safety standards (ICNIRP or ANSI) limit the amount of light that can be used in a clinical setting to image highly scattering or absorptive tissues with optical coherence tomography (OCT). To achieve high-sensitivity imaging at low intensity levels, we adapt a detection scheme—which is used in quantum optics for providing ...

Orthogonal dispersive spectral-domain optical coherence tomography
Ultrahigh depth range spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SDOCT) can be realized based on the orthogonal dispersive spectrometer consisted by a high spectral resolution virtually-imaged phased array (VIPA) and a low spectral resolution grating.
