Spectral/Fourier Domain Optical Coherence Tomography

2008
Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a powerful diagnostic imaging tool with which multiple quantitative and qualitative studies on diseases of the eye have been performed. 1–7 Optical coherence tomography imaging is analogous to ultrasonic imaging, except that it measures echo time delays of light instead of sound.

COMMOTIO RETINAE WITH SPECTRAL-DOMAIN OPTICAL COHERENCE TOMOGRAPHY

Retina, 2011
To characterize retinal changes in areas of commotio retinae using spectral-domain optical coherence tomography. In this retrospective observational case series, we included 14 eyes of 14 patients who had experienced blunt ocular trauma and underwent spectral-domain optical coherence tomography and fundus photography evaluation on the same day.

FEASIBILITY OF INTRASURGICAL SPECTRAL-DOMAIN OPTICAL COHERENCE TOMOGRAPHY

Retina, 2011
To evaluate the feasibility of intrasurgical spectral-domain optical coherence tomography in a pilot study.Using a Carl Zeiss Meditec Cirrus HD-OCT system adapted to the optical pathway of a Zeiss OPMI VISU 200 surgical microscope, 512 × 128 macular cube scans were performed during various steps of microsurgical procedures in 25 cases.

Spectral calibration in spectral domain optical coherence tomography

Chinese Optics Letters, 2008
A novel spectral calibration method is developed for spectral domain optical coherence tomography system. The method is based on two measurements of interference spectra from two reference mirror positions. It removes the influence of dispersion mismatch, and hence accurately determines the spectral distribution on the line-scan charge-coupled device ...

Spectral domain optical coherence tomography findings in myotonic dystrophy

Neuromuscular Disorders, 2020
The purpose of the study is to evaluate retinal involvement in a cohort of patients affected by Myotonic Dystrophy type 1 (DM1). Both eyes of 30 patients and one eye of a 31st patient with genetically proven diagnosis of DM1 and both eyes of 20 healthy age- and gender-matched subjects were enrolled.

SPECTRAL-DOMAIN OPTICAL COHERENCE TOMOGRAPHY IN IRVINE–GASS SYNDROME

Retina, 2012
To report longitudinal evaluation of morphology and function, by spectral-domain optical coherence tomography and Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study visual acuity, respectively, in patients with cystoid macular edema after cataract surgery (Irvine-Gass syndrome).Fifteen eyes (15 patients) with a diagnosis of cystoid macular edema related to ...

Spectral Domain Second Harmonic Optical Coherence Tomography

2005 Pacific Rim Conference on Lasers & Electro-Optics, 2006
The second harmonic generation (SHG) is one of the second order nonlinear optical phenomena that can occur in biological tissues, which contain chiral biological molecules such as collagen fibers. The optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a powerful technology that can produce high resolution cross-sectional images of biological tissues. Recently these

Vitreopapillary Traction Diagnosed by Spectral Domain Optical Coherence Tomography

Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers and Imaging Retina, 2010
This report describes a case of vitreopapillary traction with right inferior altitudinal defect similar to anterior ischemic optic neuropathy. A 35-year-old man with inferior altitudinal defect in his right eye was referred. The right optic disc was elevated and the superior disc margin was blurred. Spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT)

Spectral-Domain Optical Coherence Tomography Findings in Lipemia Retinalis

Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers and Imaging Retina, 2016
Severe hypertriglyceridemia can give rise to a fundus appearance with whitish-colored retinal vessels called lipemia retinalis. A 52-year-old man with hypertriglyceridemia presented with a best-corrected visual acuity of 20/20 in both eyes and creamy-white retinal vessels on fundus.
