Transformation Methods for Static Field Problems With Random Domains [PDF]
The numerical solution of partial differential equations onto random domains can be done by using a mapping transforming this random domain into a deterministic domain. The issue is then to determine this one to one random mapping.

Time-decoupled high order continuous space-time finite element schemes for the heat equation [PDF]
Copyright © by SIAMIn Comput. Methods Appl. Mech. Engrg., 190 (2001), pp. 6685—6708 Werder et al. demonstrated that time discretizations of the heat equation by a temporally discontinuous Galerkin finite element method could be decoupled by diagonalising

Stable Spectral Methods on Tetrahedral Elements
The authors present a framework for the construction of stable spectral methods on arbitrary domains with unstructured grids. They identify nodal sets suitable for polynomial interpolation on a tetrahedron and formulate stable spectral schemes on such unstructured nodal sets.

Development of numerical technique by Galerkin approach of spectral element method for hybrid beam
This paper introduces a Galerkin spectral element method (GSEM) for hybrid beam. The considered beam model depends upon the first order shear deformation theory (FSDT) is taken into account.

Multi-element stochastic reduced basis methods [PDF]
This paper presents mutli-element Stochastic Reduced Basis Methods (ME-SRBMs) for solving linear stochastic partial differential equations. In ME-SRBMs, the domain of definition of the random inputs is decomposed into smaller subdomains or random ...

Efficient method for the solution of Maxwell’s equations for nanostructured materials [PDF]
The calculation of the electromagnetic field in nanostructured materials and nano-optoelectronic devices, when the wavelength of the incident radiation is comparable with the size of the structural elements, requires the exact solution of Maxwell's ...

Numerical methods for the time-fractional diffusion equation: A review [PDF]
This review paper focuses on the numerical solution of the time-fractional diffusion equation using various discretization techniques. For the time-fractional derivative, we consider methods such as L-type approximations and Grünwald-Letnikov-based ...
