Spectral features: how to reduce them [PDF]
Spectral features are introduced by the diffuser that is used during on-board sun calibration. New findings are presented on how to reduce the size of these spectral features. Reduction can be obtained via optical design of the calibration unit, but also in creating a better diffuser.

Predicting improvement in biofeedback gait training using short-term spectral features from minimum foot clearance data. [PDF]
Stroke rehabilitation interventions require multiple training sessions and repeated assessments to evaluate the improvements from training. Biofeedback-based treadmill training often involves 10 or more sessions to determine its effectiveness.

Spectral Embedding of Feature Hypergraphs [PDF]
In this paper we investigate how to establish a hypergraph model for characterizing object structures and how to embed this model into a low-dimensional pattern space. Each hyperedge of the hypergraph model is derived from a seed feature point of the object and embodies those neighbouring feature points that satisfy a similarity constraint. We show how

BATSE evidence for GRB spectral features [PDF]
We have developed an automatic search procedure to identify low-energy spectral features in GRBs. We have searched 133,000 spectra from 117 bright bursts and have identified 12 candidate features with significances ranging from our threshold of P = 5E-5 to P = 1E-7.

Blind source separation to enhance spectral and non-linear features of magnetoencephalogram recordings:Application to Alzheimer's disease [PDF]
This work studied whether a blind source separation (BSS) and component selection procedure could increase the differences between Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients and control subjects' spectral and nonlinear features of magnetoencephalogram (MEG ...

Compressive spectral feature sensing
To reduce the size of spectral data, compressive sensing imaging systems are developed to sample fewer measurements than the Nyquist‐rate ones, from which the original data can be recovered by the optimisation model and algorithm. However, this is not a cheap option for the case where the real‐time acquisition of spectral information is required.
