Irradiances of spectral lines in mercury pencil lamps
Applied Optics, 1996The irradiancesof 37 spectral lines emitted bymercury pencil-type lamps were measuredby comparison with calibrated continuum sources. The lines span the region 230-590 nm. For the 14 most prominent lines the absolute irradiances should be useful for radiometric calibrations at an uncertainty level of ~15% 195% confidence2. The ratios of the irradiances

Spectral irradiance standard for the ultraviolet: the deuterium lamp
Applied Optics, 1978A set of deuterium lamps is calibrated as spectral irradiance standards in the 200-350-nm spectral region utilizing both a high accuracy tungsten spectral irradiance standard and a newly developed argon mini-arc spectral radiance standard. The method which enables a transfer from a spectral radiance to a spectral irradiance standard is described.

Long-term Solar Spectral Irradiance Observations by the TSIS-1 Spectral Irradiance Monitor
The NASA’s Total and Spectral Solar Irradiance Sensor (TSIS-1) launched on December 15th, 2017 and was integrated on the International Space Station (ISS) to measure long-term total solar irradiance (TSI) and solar spectral irradiance (SSI). The direct measurement of the SSI is made by the LASP Spectral Irradiance Monitor (SIM) and provides ...Erik Richard +4 more

Cryostat for Electron Irradiation of Solids and Post-Irradiation Spectral Studies
Applied Spectroscopy, 1970A cell for electron irradiation of solid samples in vacuum at low temperatures and analysis of post-irradiation changes by visible—ultraviolet spectroscopy is described. Liquid nitrogen and constant temperature baths are used to control sample temperature during irradiation and spectral studies. Index Headings: Ultraviolet, Visible Instrumentation.

The r4photobiology suite: spectral irradiance
UV4Plants Bulletin, 2015This article describes R packages for photobiological calculations that I have developed over the last few years. The different R packages implement calculations related to handling of spectral data as used in photobiology. The main purpose of this software is to make it easier for biologists to quantify and describe the visible and ultraviolet ...

The importance of the reliable solar spectral irradiance (SSI) data for solar and climate physics is now well acknowledged. In particular, the irradiance time series are necessary for most of the current studies concerning climate evolution. However, space instruments are vulnerable to the degradation due to the environment while ground based ...
