Simulations of Coronal Mass Ejections on a Young Solar-type Star and Their Detectability Through Coronal Spectral Observations

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
There is a growing interest in searching for coronal mass ejections (CMEs) in other stellar systems, because they are thought to be one of the important factors shaping planetary atmospheres.

β‐TrCP overexpression enhances cisplatin sensitivity by depleting BRCA1

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low levels of β‐TrCP (Panel A) allow the accumulation of BRCA1 and CtIP, which facilitate the repair of cisplatin‐induced DNA damage via homologous recombination (HR) and promote tumor cell survival. In contrast, high β‐TrCP expression (Panel B) leads to BRCA1 and CtIP degradation, impairing HR repair, resulting in persistent DNA damage and apoptosis ...

Spectuner: A Framework for Automated Line Identification of Interstellar Molecules

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series
Interstellar molecules, which play an important role in astrochemistry, are identified using observed spectral lines. Despite the advent of spectral analysis tools in the past decade, the identification of spectral lines remains a tedious task that ...

Radiation transfer in spectral lines [PDF]

open access: yesPure and Applied Chemistry, 1966
Excited atoms are known to play an important and sometimes decisive role in many phenomena which are the subject matter for discussion at this Symposium. The properties, kinetics, and diagnostics of a plasma are to a considerable degree determined by the concentration of excited atoms, and their distribution in space and time.

Unveiling unique protein and phosphorylation signatures in lung adenocarcinomas with and without ALK, EGFR, and KRAS genetic alterations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Proteomic and phosphoproteomic analyses were performed on lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) tumors with EGFR, KRAS, or EML4–ALK alterations and wild‐type cases. Distinct protein expression and phosphorylation patterns were identified, especially in EGFR‐mutated tumors. Key altered pathways included vesicle transport and RNA splicing.

Spectral shape of one-photon luminescence from single gold nanorods

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2017
Light emission from gold nanoparticles was investigated with ultra-narrow-band notch filters to obtain the complete spectral shape. The anti-Stokes emission band was observed at all excitation wavelengths.
