An infrared view of Wolf-Rayet WC subtypes - I. Line identification and spectral characteristics

Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 1991
High-resolution (R ∼ 300-600) infrared (1.0-3.4 μm) spectra of a sample of Wolf-Rayet stars of subtypes WC5-9 are presented. The line identifications are thoroughly discussed and some 20 new identifications given, notably the C IV 4p-4s doublet at 1.435 μm, observed previously but not identified, H I 5p-3d (at 1.299 μm), He II 17-7 (at 1.344 μm), He II

A study of spectral line identifications in perseid meteor spectra

1961
A detailed lisl of spectral line idenlifirations is derived from the study of five Perseid meteor spectra. A total of 229 features are identified in the region from 3680 A to 8710 A. lt is shown that lines of N II, O II, and Sr II are present, and probably also lines of Sr I, Ba I, and Ba II, in addition to lines of other atoms and ions previously ...

Super-dirichlet mixture models using differential line spectral frequencies for text-independent speaker identification

Interspeech 2011, 2011
A new text-independent speaker identification (SI) system is proposed. This system utilizes the line spectral frequencies (LSFs) as alternative feature set for capturing the speaker characteristics ...

Spectral line shape identification by using fractional derivative spectrometry

2004
Before it is difficult to say about a peak shape without conducting additional research. Conventional nonlinear fitting methods based on the OLS approach are unsuitable to unambiguously assign the overlapped peaks. This implies that a composite band can be decomposed into elementary components of a given shape with the same integral reconstruction ...

Robust time-variant AR spectral identification for on-line frequency analysis of HRV signal

Proceedings of 18th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2002
The frequency analysis of the heart rate variability signal can be achieved on a beat-to-beat bases through AutoRegressive spectral estimation implemented in recursive form; thus the spectral parameters of clinical and physiological interest are obtained continuously in time. In on-line applications, however, the presence of artifacts in the signal may

On the identification of Fe ix and Ni xi lines from coronal spectral

Solar Physics, 1975
Identifications of coronal lines with transitions of Fe ix and Ni xi, as proposed by Wagner and House, and Svensson, Ekberg and Edlen, are checked by means of line intensity ratios, from observations obtained at the 1965 eclipse. All the suggestions of Svensson, Ekberg and Edlen are suitable.
