Identification of Lower Terpenoids from Gas-Chromatography-Mass Spectral Data by On-Line Computer Method

Journal of Chromatographic Science, 1979
It was found that the less intense ion peaks of the mass spectra of lower terpenes can play an important role in distinguishing compounds that have similar mass spectra. Two computer programs were developed that generate, from combined gas chromatographic—mass spectra data, F-1 weights (ANOVA) of mass ion peaks between 41 and 300.

On the identification of Fe ix and Ni xi lines from coronal spectral

Solar Physics, 1975
Identifications of coronal lines with transitions of Fe ix and Ni xi, as proposed by Wagner and House, and Svensson, Ekberg and Edlen, are checked by means of line intensity ratios, from observations obtained at the 1965 eclipse. All the suggestions of Svensson, Ekberg and Edlen are suitable.

On the use of perceptual Line Spectral pairs Frequencies and higher-order residual moments for Speaker Identification

International Journal of Biometrics, 2010
Conventional Speaker Identification (SI) systems utilise spectral features like Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC) or Perceptual Linear Prediction (PLP) as a frontend module. Line Spectral pairs Frequencies (LSF) are popular alternative representation of Linear Prediction Coefficients (LPC).

Comments on the identification of high-order spectral lines of donors in semiconductors in intermediate magnetic fields

Semiconductor Science and Technology, 1989
The magneto-optical spectrum of the shallow donors in n-GaAs is studied using a far-infrared laser at photon energies greater than the binding energy of the donors. The transitions from the (1s) ground state into the Landau levels are not observed but, instead, series of transitions from the ground state into donor states associated with the individual

Spectral line shape identification by using fractional derivative spectrometry

2004
Before it is difficult to say about a peak shape without conducting additional research. Conventional nonlinear fitting methods based on the OLS approach are unsuitable to unambiguously assign the overlapped peaks. This implies that a composite band can be decomposed into elementary components of a given shape with the same integral reconstruction ...
