Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...

Spectral Deformation in a Problem of Singular Perturbation Theory
Quasi-classical asymptotic behavior of the spectrum of a non-self-adjoint Sturm–Liouville problem is studied in the case of a one-parameter family of potentials being third-degree polynomials. For this problem, the phase-integral method is used to derive quantization conditions characterizing the asymptotic distribution of the eigenvalues and their ...

Circulating microRNAs as biomarkers of cachexia and sex‐specific cancer in senior dogs. In 25 client‐owned dogs, four circulating miRNAs (miR‐15a, miR‐15b, miR‐16, miR‐140) were downregulated in cachexia, with miR‐16 the strongest individual biomarker (AUC = 0.899).

Spectral Singularities do not Correspond to Bound States in the Continuum
We show that, contrary to a claim made in arXiv:1011.0645, the von Neumann-Winger bound states that lie in the continuum of the scattering states are fundamentally different from Naimark’s spectral singularities.

Singularities of the planar Green function in the spectral domain
The surface acoustic wave amplitudes at the boundary of a piezoelectric half-space satisfy a matrix relation which is characteristic of the medium. The elements of the matrix are functions of slowness. In the paper, the singularities of the matrix are investigated at cutoff points of bulk waves.

The VHL tumor suppressor at the crossroad of protein folding, aggregation, and cancer
Mutations, environmental stress, and chaperone dysfunction can destabilize pVHL, promoting its conversion from the native folded state into amyloid‐like assemblies. This transition may contribute to protein storage, cell dormancy, survival, and drug resistance.

Spectral behaviour of GMRES applied to singular systems [PDF]
The author analyses the theoretical behaviour of the generalized minimal residual (GMRES) method applied to singular systems in exact arithmetic. He proves that the singularity of the Hessenberg matrix depends on the nature of the system matrix, the zero eigenvalue multiplicity and the projection of the initial residual on particular subspaces ...

Incomplete microwave ablation (iMWA) of liver cancer triggers a biphasic progression in residual tumors. At Day 3, the microenvironment is characterized by acute inflammatory responses and extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling. By Day 14, a profound shift occurs toward oncogenic signal transduction and immunosuppression, marked by macrophage ...

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Uniform response theory of non-Hermitian systems: Non-Hermitian physics beyond the exceptional point
Non-Hermitian systems display remarkable response effects that directly reflect a variety of distinct spectral scenarios, such as exceptional points where the eigensystem becomes defective.
