A Spectral Theory for Tensors [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales de la Faculté des sciences de Toulouse : Mathématiques, 2014
In this paper we propose a general spectral theory for tensors. Our proposed factorization decomposes a tensor into a product of orthogonal and scaling tensors. At the same time, our factorization yields an expansion of a tensor as a summation of outer products of lower order tensors.

Eigenvalues asymptotics for Stark operators [PDF]

open access: yesE-Journal of Analysis and Applied Mathematics, 2019
We give the eigenvalues asymptotics for the Stark operator of the form $\displaystyle-\Delta+Fx$, $F>0$ on $\displaystyle\mathrm{L}^2([0,d])$. This is given in the case when $F$ is small enough or sufficiently large.

On spectral theory and convexity [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1981
A compact convex set K K in a locally convex algebra is said to be a spectral carrier if, for all x x , y ∈ K y \in K , we have x y = y x ∈ K xy = yx \in K and x + y − x

On relaxation processes in a completely ionized plasma

open access: yesEast European Journal of Physics, 2020
Relaxation of the electron energy and momentum densities is investigated in spatially uniform states of completely ionized plasma in the presence of small constant and spatially homogeneous external electric field.

Small oscillations of an ideal liquid contained in a vessel closed by an elastic circular plate, in uniform rotation [PDF]

open access: yesTheoretical and Applied Mechanics, 2017
The problem of the small oscillations of an ideal liquid contained in a vessel in uniform rotation has been studied by Kopachevskii and Krein in the case of an entirely rigid vessel [3].

The Bourguignon Laplacian and Harmonic Symmetric Bilinear Forms

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
In this paper, we study the kernel and spectral properties of the Bourguignon Laplacian on a closed Riemannian manifold, which acts on the space of symmetric bilinear forms (considered as one-forms with values in the cotangent bundle of this manifold ...

Spontaneous decay of level from spectral theory point of view [PDF]

open access: yesOpuscula Mathematica, 2021
In quantum field theory it is believed that the spontaneous decay of excited atomic or molecular level is due to the interaction with continuum of field modes.

Can You Hear the Shape of a Market? Geometric Arbitrage and Spectral Theory

open access: yesAxioms, 2021
Utilizing gauge symmetries, the Geometric Arbitrage Theory reformulates any asset model, allowing for arbitrage by means of a stochastic principal fibre bundle with a connection whose curvature measures the “instantaneous arbitrage capability”.
