Undecidability of the Spectral Gap
We construct families of translationally invariant, nearest-neighbour Hamiltonians on a 2D square lattice of d-level quantum systems (d constant), for which determining whether the system is gapped or gapless is an undecidable problem.

Combining the Two-Layers PageRank Approach with the APA Centrality in Networks with Data
Identifying the influential nodes in complex networks is a fundamental and practical topic at the moment. In this paper, a new centrality measure for complex networks is proposed based on two contrasting models that have their common origin in the well ...

On the Spectral Theory of Operator Measures
In the first section we provide a solution to the M. G. Krein problem about an inner description of the space $L_2(Σ,H).$ In the second section we introduce the multiplicity function for an operator measure. Making use of the description of the space $L_2(Σ,H)$ we establish the correctness of the definition and give a criterion for a spectral measure ...

Spectral Theory of Perturbative Decays
In this paper, we propose a complex approach to evaluate a function sum of two noncommuting non Hermitian operators. Then, it is proposed an explicit expansion of the evolution operator in the case of the neutral K-meson system under the influence of an external interaction. Then, the importance of the procedure is pointed out to consider the algebraic

MATHEMATICAL MODELING OF BIOLOGICAL INTERACTIONS: FORMALISMS AND CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS
This paper introduces an advanced mathematical framework for describing biological interactions through spectral graph theory. We examine differential equations coupled with various Laplacians (classical, signless, and normalized) to address competition,

The Diagonalizable Nonnegative Inverse Eigenvalue Problem
In this articlewe provide some lists of real numberswhich can be realized as the spectra of nonnegative diagonalizable matrices but which are not the spectra of nonnegative symmetric matrices.

A review on quantum graphs: From mathematical foundations to applications [PDF]
Quantum graphs provide a rigorous framework for modelling quantum dynamics on network-like structures, where edges represent one-dimensional wires and vertices encode interaction conditions.

Spectral theory and nonlinear problems Théorie spectrale et problèmes non-linéaires [PDF]
We present a Lie algebra theoretical schema leading to integrable systems, based on the Kostant-Kirillov coadjoint action. Many problems on Kostant-Kirillov coadjoint orbits in subalgebras of infinite dimensional Lie algebras (Kac-Moody Lie algebras)

Let \((M,g)\) be a closed orientable orbifold, (i.e. a \(V\) manifold). The author establishes the basic spectral theory of these singular spaces, generalizing the Sobolev embedding theorem, the Rellich theorem, and the Poincaré inequalities from the smooth setting to this more general setting. The author derives the basic properties of the spectrum of
