Optical Spectral Variability of Blazars

Journal of Astrophysics and Astronomy, 2014
It is well established that blazars show flux variations in the complete electromagnetic (EM) spectrum on all possible time scales ranging from a few tens of minutes to several years. Here, we report the review of optical flux and spectral variability properties of different classes of blazars on IDV and STV time-scales. Our analysis show HSPs are less

Variability of the endmembers in spectral unmixing

2019
Spectral unmixing is an inverse problem in hyperspectral imaging that aims at recovering the spectra of the pure constituents of an image (called endmembers), as well as at estimating the proportions of said materials in each pixel (called abundances).

VARIABILITY OF SPECTRAL DISTRIBUTIONS OF LED

CIE x051:2025 Proceedings of the CIE 2025 Midterm Meeting Vienna, Austria, July 4-11, 2025: Scientific Conference (July 7-9, 2025)
This paper investigates the variability of spectral characteristics among LED light sources with similar correlated colour temperature (CCT), using a dataset of 1752 measured spectral distributions. We evaluate how well CCT predicts two widely used metrics: the melanopic daylight efficacy ratio (MDER), relevant for human-centric lighting, and the G ...

Spectral study of the irregular variables

Astrophysics, 1985
Nineteen spectrograms for three variables with periodic fadings of the, namely, SV Cep, UX Ori, and DD Ser, obtained on the two meter telescope of the Shemakha Astrophysical Observatory with a reciprocal dispersion of 94 A/mm in H..gamma.., were used to compile a two dimensional quantitative spectral classification of those variables.

Spectral variability on Ceres

2015
Older ground-based observations are reprocessed in order to assess the spectral variability of Ceres surface before the beginning of observations by the Dawn spacecraft. Ceres was observed with NACO on the VLT in 2004 and 2005, producing resolved spectra of the disk under different attitudes.
