Spectrophotometric Determination of Catecholamines in Pharmaceutical Preparations Via Charge Transfer Complex Formation Using Bromanil Reagent [PDF]

open access: yesمجلة التربية والعلم, 2007
A simple, rapid and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of trace amounts of catecholamine drugs (dopamine, levodopa and methyldopa).

SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC DETERMINATION OF BLOOD OXYGEN

open access: yesJournal of Biological Chemistry, 1949
Gasometric methods for estimating blood oxygen are time-consuming. This consideration often limits the number of observations which can be made in the course of experiments requiring oxygen determinations. In many cases it is an arteriovenous difference which is particularly desired, as in the measurement of cardiac output by the Fick principle, or the

Spectroscopic determination of manganese ion [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
A sorption-spectrophotometric method for the determination of manganese (II) ions in industrial wastewater has been developed. A corresponding immobilisation procedure is presented.

SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC DETERMINATION OF NITRAZEPAM IN TABLETS [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Assiut, 1985
A sensitive spectrophotometric method is reported for the determination of nitrazepam either in pure form or in tablets. The method is based on reduction with zinc dust and calcium chloride followed by reaction with sodium pentacyanoaminoferrate(II) to give a violet product having an absorbance maximum at 560 nm.

Electron transfer between complexes III and IV in S. cerevisiae mitochondrial membranes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation in S. cerevisiae mitoplasts is limited by complex IV catalytic capacity, rather than two‐dimensional cytochrome c diffusion. At physiological cytochrome c : supercomplex ratios at salinity equivalent to that of 20 mm monovalent salt, activity is maximized, indicating that this low ionic strength accurately mimics

Zinc complex based determination of rutin in dietary supplements

open access: yesMacedonian Journal of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, 2016
The aim of this study was to develop and validate a simple, rapid and sensitive and low-cost method for determination of rutin in tablets. The proposed spectrophotometric method is based on the formation of the Zn2+-rutin complex in 70 v/v% methanol at ...

Spectrophotometric determination of leukocytes in blood [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, 2002
AbstractThe determination of leukocyte concentration in human blood depending on the detection of oxidized o‐dianisidine in acidic solution is studied. The oxidation of o‐dianisidine was carried out by peroxidase enzymes found in leukocytes. The reaction was stopped by the addition of 4N H2SO4 to the solution, and a very stable, colored o‐dianisidine ...

AscF in the mycobacterial CIII–CIV supercomplex lacks metal and nucleotide binding but links malate oxidation to respiration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The mycobacterial CIII‐CIV respiratory supercomplex is an obligate assembly, encompassing several subunits of unknown functions. We have characterized the intracellular subunit AscF, and show that it is unlikely to be a sensor for metals or nucleotides, but is required for growth on nonfermentable energy sources, and likely works as an adapter for ...

A Sensitive Validated Spectrophotometric Method for the Determination of Flucloxacillin Sodium

open access: yesE-Journal of Chemistry, 2009
A simple and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been proposed for the determination of flucloxacillin sodium. The determination method is based on charge transfer complexation reaction of the drug with iodine in methanol-dichloromethane medium.
