Solid phase extraction and a spectrophotometric method for the determination of trace amounts of gold with 4-rhodanineazo benzoic acid [PDF]
The synthesis and application of 4-rhodanineazo benzoic acid (4-BARA) as a new chromogenic reagent for the determination of gold is described. A highly sensitive, selective, and fast method for the determination of gold based on its rapid reaction with 4-

An all aqueous synthesis of poly(ethylene glycol)‐amide‐norbornene‐carboxylate (PEGaNBCA) is developed via reacting carbic anhydride with amino‐terminated PEG. PEGaNBCA is readily crosslinked into hydrogels by click chemistries. PEGaNBCA crosslinked thiol‐norbornene hydrogels are hydrolytically stable but can be rendered hydrolytically labile through ...

Spectrophotometry in Stellar Associations [PDF]
When analyzing the spectral energy distributions of early type stars as measured at Cerro Calán, we find that many of them have a feature which we have called ΔD (Gutiérrez-Morenoet al., 1968); the internal error of the measure of ΔD for a single star is ±0.02.

A CO2 laser‐assisted solid‐state synthesis of a bimetallic single‐atom catalyst is presented. The resulting material consists of a 3D porous graphene support with iron and cobalt atoms anchored as single atoms. Through electrochemical methods, the material's efficiency is demonstrated in the sensitive and selective determination of nitrite, mimicking ...

Spectrophotometric determination of phosphorus in iron alloys employing a flow injection system
A flow-injection procedure for spectrophotometric determination of phosphorus in electrolytic iron and iron alloys is proposed. The method is based on the ammonium molybdate reaction followed by stannous chloride reduction in acidic medium.

Catalytic Spectrophotometric Determination of Traces of Tellurium (IV) [PDF]
A Simple, rapid and sensitive method has been developed for determination of trances of tellurium (VI) (0.096-1.250 mg/mL) based on its catalytic effect on the reduction reaction of toluidine blue by sulfide ion at pH 4.

Spectrophotometric determination of cyanide in aqueous samples after its conversion to thiocyanate and complexation to ferric-thiocyanate [PDF]
A simple spectrophotometric method is developed for the determination of traces of cyanide ion in water samples. Toxic cyanide was reacted with sulfur (S8) dissolved in acetone and converted to non-toxic thiocyanate which is more stable than cyanide also.

Wavelength‐selective ZnO/Si photodetectors, operating with no power supply. Engineering of the constituting materials converts them from white‐light sensitive to only NIR‐sensitive. When external power is applied, the wavelength selectivity of the devices can be tuned to different spectral ranges.
