We present spectral classifications from optical spectroscopy of 263 massive stars in the north-eastern region of the Large Magellanic Cloud. The observed two-degree field includes the massive 30 Doradus star-forming region, the environs of SN1987A, and ...

This study introduces a paper‐based biodegradable, humidity‐insensitive e‐nose for real‐time breath analysis, addressing challenges in existing technologies such as humidity interference, high costs, and environmental impact. Featuring hydrophobic polymer coatings, these sensors reliably detect VOCs even in high‐moisture environments.

Dynamical Masses for the Hyades Binary System vB 120
We report spectroscopic observations of vB 120 (HD 30712), a 5.7 yr astrometric–spectroscopic binary system in the Hyades cluster. We combine our radial velocities with others from the literature, and with existing speckle interferometry measurements, to

Short term variability in Be stars and binaries in the Magellanic Clouds [PDF]
We observed a large sample of B & Be stars in the Magellanic Clouds, respectively 176 and 344 stars, with the multi-object spectrograph GIRAFFE at ESO/VLT. We obtained spectra at different settings at various epochs. It allowed us to discover several spectroscopic binaries with short and intermediate periods.

This study introduces a rapid, microwave‐assisted synthetic method for halide argyrodite solid‐state electrolytes Li6PS5X${\rm Li}_6 {\rm PS}_5X$ (X=$X =$ Cl−${\rm Cl}^-$, Br−${\rm Br}^-$, I−${\rm I}^-$). Microwave synthesis increases S2−${\rm S}^{2-}$/X−$X^-$ site disorder and rotational disorder of the isolated PS43−${{\mathrm{PS}}_{4}}^{3 ...

Medium-resolution echelle spectroscopy of pulsating variables and exoplanet host stars with sub-meter telescopes [PDF]
Here we present two of our interesting results obtained over the last 18 months from spectroscopic monitoring of binary pulsating stars and exoplanet host stars.

X-Ray Observations of the Enigmatic Wolf–Rayet System θ Mus: Two’s Company but Three’s a Crowd
θ Mus is a remarkable spectroscopic binary (SB) consisting of a carbon-type Wolf–Rayet star and OV companion (WC6+O6–7V) in a ≈19 days orbit. In addition an O-supergiant is visually detected at a small offset of 46 mas and if gravitationally bound to the

The Spectroscopic Orbits of Five Solar Type, Single Lined Binaries [PDF]
We have determined spectroscopic orbits for five single-lined spectroscopic binaries, HD 100167, HD 135991, HD 140667, HD 158222, HD 217924. Their periods range from 60.6 to 2403 days and the eccentricities, from 0.20 to 0.84. Our spectral classes for the stars confirm that they are of solar type, F9 to G5, and all are dwarfs.
