The clinical spectrum of SMA‐PME and in vitro normalization of its cellular ceramide profile

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, Volume 9, Issue 12, Page 1941-1952, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Objective The objectives of this study were to define the clinical and biochemical spectrum of spinal muscular atrophy with progressive myoclonic epilepsy (SMA‐PME) and to determine if aberrant cellular ceramide accumulation could be normalized by enzyme replacement.

Galactic O-type stars in LAMOST data [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series, 2021, Volume 253, Issue 2, id.54, 27, 2021
This paper reports 209 O-type stars found with LAMOST. All 135 new O-type stars discovered so far with LAMOST so far are given. Among them, 94 stars are firstly presented in this sample. There are 1 Iafpe star, 5 Onfp stars, 12 Oe stars, 1 Ofc stars, 3 ON stars, 16 double-lined spectroscopic binaries, and 33 single-lined spectroscopic binaries.

Binaries masses and luminosities with Gaia DR3 [PDF]

open access: yesA&A 678, A19 (2023), 2023
The recent Gaia third data release (DR3) has brought some new exciting data about stellar binaries. It provides new opportunities to fully characterize more stellar systems and contribute to enforce our global knowledge of stars behaviour. By combining the new Gaia non-single stars catalog with double-lined spectroscopic binaries (SB2), one can ...

Statistical Investigation of Spectroscopic Binary Stars [PDF]

open access: yesSymposium - International Astronomical Union, 1980
A catalog of physical parameters of about 1000 spectroscopic binary stars (SB), based on the Batten catalog, its extensions, and newly published data has been compiled. Masses of stars′ components (M1 and M2), mass ratios of components (q = M1/M2) and orbital angular momenta are computed, wherever possible. It is probable that the initial mass function

Search for a Black Hole Binary in Gaia DR3 Astrometric Binary Stars with Spectroscopic Data

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2023
We report the discovery of a candidate binary system consisting of a black hole (BH) and a red giant branch star in Gaia DR3. This binary system was discovered from 64,108 binary solutions for which both astrometric and spectroscopic data are available ...

The Orbital and Physical Properties of Five Southern Be+sdO Binary Systems

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal, 2023
Close binary interactions may play a critical role in the formation of the rapidly rotating Be stars. Mass transfer can result in a mass gainer star spun up by the accretion of mass and angular momentum, while the mass donor is stripped of its envelope ...

Gamma Cas Stars as Be+White Dwarf Binary Systems

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters, 2022
The origin of the bright and hard X-ray emission flux among the γ Cas subgroup of B-emission line (Be) stars may be caused by gas accretion onto an orbiting white dwarf (WD) companion.

A Spectroscopic Study of Binary Star Planetary Nebulae [PDF]

open access: yesSymposium - International Astronomical Union, 1993
A comprehensive spectrophotometric survey of the central stars of planetary nebulae with known or suspected binary star nuclei (BSPN) is underway. The aims of this programme are: to determine the nature of the companion to the ionising star of the nebula; to estimate the spectroscopic distance from the spectral type and magnitude of the companion and ...
