Electrochemical Behavior of Flame‐Sprayed Sc‐Doped AlCoCrFeMo High‐Entropy Alloy Coatings in 3.5% Sodium Chloride Solution

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.

Understanding exciton diffusion in organic solar cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Organic solar cells are promising candidates for future energy production. However, many challenges remain to optimise efficiency. One particular challenge lies in our understanding of the factors affecting exciton diffusion and the length scale of this

Precipitation Simulations of the O‐Phase in Ti2AlNb Alloys Processed by Laser Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Simulated and experimental evolution of the O‐phase volume fraction during postprocessing of a Ti‐21Al‐25Nb (at.%) alloy processed by laser powder bed fusion. With results of sensitivity to input parameters from a thorough and quantified analysis, the interfacial energy matrix/precipitate is the most relevant input parameter for the simulation of the O‐

The A2Π–X2Σ+ Band System of ScO for M-type Star Spectral Analysis

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
M-type stars are the most abundant stars in our Galaxy. Their visible spectra are characterized by strong TiO and VO absorption bands with occasional ScO bands near 6000–6100 Å.

Theoretical determination of the spectroscopic constants of the MgC molecule

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 1991
The results for the spectroscopic constants of MgC obtained from full fourth-order many-body perturbation theory calculations are reported. Potential energy curves are shown along with finite-difference numerical restricted Hartree-Fock results for the dipole moment of MgC.

Microstructure, Thermal Transport, and Dry‐Sliding Tribology of Powder‐Metallurgy Al7075 Composites Reinforced With Sol–Gel‐Derived ZnO–rGO Hybrid Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Sol–gel‐derived ZnO–rGO hybrid nanoparticles enable Al7075 powder‐metallurgy composites to achieve concurrent gains in hardness and thermal conductivity while markedly lowering friction and wear. The hybrid architecture couples ZnO‐based load support with rGO‐assisted lamellar sliding and heat spreading, revealing a promising route toward lightweight ...

Optical constants of CH3NH3PbBr3 perovskite thin films measured by spectroscopic ellipsometry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The lack of optical constants information for hybrid perovskite of CH3NH3PbBr3 in thin films form can delay the progress of efficient LED or laser demonstration.

Complex optical constants of CsPbCl3 perovskite thin films determined by spectroscopic ellipsometry

open access: yesAPL Energy
Designing optoelectronic devices based on cesium lead chloride (CsPbCl3) perovskites requires accurate values of their optical constants. Unfortunately, experimental data for this material are limited thus far. Here, we applied spectroscopic ellipsometry

A Practical Noise2Noise Denoising Pipeline for High‐Throughput Raman Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A lightweight and reproducible denoising pipeline for high‐throughput Raman spectroscopy is introduced, based on a 1D convolutional autoencoder trained with a Noise2Noise strategy. Using only repeated short‐exposure acquisitions, the method suppresses stochastic noise without reference spectra, enabling reliable spectral reconstruction while preserving
